Eten op school. Het had indertijd iets stereotiep. Kwam je wat later de eetzaal binnen, dan vond je overal grijze bolletjes van aluminiumfolie. Je rook van vier tafels ver al als iemand met salami tussen boterhammen zijn aluminiumfolie pakketje openscheurde. Af en toe vloog er ook eens een prop aluminiumfolie door de lucht. De creatievelingen onder de leerlingen vormden hun aluminiumfolie al snel om toch één of ander fantastisch voertuig. Ja, eten in de schoolkantine, het blijft iets om te herinneren. Je zou er een film kunnen draaien. Als regisseur zou ik in de zoektocht naar sponsors dan toch zeker eens wat aluminiumfolieproducenten contacteren. Aluminiumfolie, het blijft slecht voor het milieu, maar het neemt wel minder plaats in dan een doorsnee boterhamdoos. En het is wel leuk om mee te spelen, niet?
Nu moet ik bekennen dat ik het gebruik van A-folie probeer te verminderen. Het cadeau dat mijn vriendin voor haar verjaardag kreeg, is daar ideaal voor. Ze kreeg namelijk een Lunch Pot (Black+Blum). Zelf hadden we ons al een tijdje twee Lunchskins aangeschaft. Die Lunchskins zijn herbruikbare boterhamzakjes. Het voordeel van die zakjes is dat ze ten eerste in de afwasmachine mogen. Je draait ze binnenste buiten en wast ze af. Ten tweede nemen ze ook veel minder plaats in dan een boterhamdoos. Ze hebben ze in alle maten en kleuren.
Die Lunch Pot is ook iets handig. Het geheel bestaat uit twee potjes – microgolf- en vaatwasbestendig – die goed aan elkaar vast hangen. Het geheel oogt mooi en is best praktisch. De draagtas valt om te vouwen tot een kleurrijke placemat. Ik geef toe dat dit niet echt in een schooltas past. Voor de werkende mensen onder ons is dit wel handig. Je neemt het mee in de auto, in de fietstas of op de trein. Ik hoor jullie al denken: “Wij hebben ook van die dozen, en dan valt dat om en dan is alles nat.” Wel, mijn beste, ik heb dat getest. (zie foto). Voorlopig valt het boeltje nog perfect af te sluiten.
Deze week was dit de lunch van de vriendin. Haar koffie zat trouwens ook in een herbruikbare beker. Ja, dit lunchpakket was behoorlijk ecovriendelijk. En dan moet je weten dat de pompoensoep gemaakt is met uien, pompoen en tomaten van de grootvaders. Ik voel me bijna een ecohipster. 😉
Voor alle duidelijkheid: ik heb geen aandelen bij de bedrijven van onderstaande producten. Ik vind dit echter gewoon oprecht een zeer mooi en kwalitatief product. En ik geef toe, ik vorm aluminiumfolie af en toe nog eens om tot één of ander fantastisch dier.

If someone had some salami for lunch, you could smell it when he opened his tinfoil package. Sometimes you noticed tinfoil flying through the room. The creative pupils always made crazy things with their tinfoil. Tinfoil and the messroom, it could be a movie. I know tinfoil is bad for the environment, but you have to admit: it’s funny to play with, no?
To be honest, I try to use not too much tin foil. My girlfriend got a very useful gift for her birthday: a Black+Blum Lunch Pot. We already had two Lunchskins. These “skins” are eco friendly reusable sandwich bags. They have two big advantages: 1. you can put them in the dish washer and clean them; 2. they don’t take so much place as real sandwich box.
I also very like this Lunch Pot. It contains two smaller parts, that you can put in the microwave or dish washer. The Lunch Pot looks nice and is very user friendly. A carrying bag is included. You can transform this bag into a colorful placemat. I admit it’s more for working people than people going to school. It doesn’t fit in a school bag. I know you are all thinking: “and if it falls down everything is wet and dirty.” As you can see on the picture, I tried it. For now, it doesn’t get dirty at all. The Lunchskin and the Lunch Pot are a great solution for all that tinfoil. Although I have to say I still like to play with my tinfoil.
To be clear, they didn’t ask me to write about this. I’m really convinced of the quality by using it.
