Vorige week kreeg ik een tip omtrent een winkel van de collega-blogger en vooral patissier Sven Coryn. Hij sprak over “Chocolate World” in Antwerpen. Zoals de naam wel doet vermoeden, is dit een winkel met alles van chocoladebewerking. Patisserie is mijn favoriet onderdeel. Het maken van pralines is daarnaast iets wat ik dit jaar nog onder de knie wil krijgen. Die winkel moest ik gewoon verblijden met een bezoekje. Vorige woensdag trok ik dus richting Antwerpen. Wat een winkel: 100’en soorten vormen, allerhande gereedschap en machines om met chocolade te werken, dat is wat ze daar verkopen. Het lijkt wel een grote speelgoedwinkel. Voor zij die graag met chocolade werken is dit toch wel een aanrader. Ik kocht er een taartvorm en wat vormen om pralines te maken. Negen februari is mijn verjaardag, ik zeg het maar.

Last week Sven Coryn, a young dessert chef, told me about a shop in Antwerp. The shop was called “Chocolate World”. The name is pretty clear. It’s not a shop where you can buy fruit or vegetables. In fact, It’s a paradise for chocolate lovers. Because I really want to improve my chocolate skills, I just had to visit this shop. So last Wednesday I went to Antwerp. What a shop: dozens of chocolate moulds, different tools and machines to work with chocolate. It felt like a big chocolate toy store. So, if you live to work with chocolate, this is the place to go. I bought some chocolate moulds and one cake mould. The 9th of February, it’s my birthday…
