Eén van mijn doelen voor 2013 was om van Hot Cuisine de Pierre een mix van foto’s, recepten en ook verhalen te maken. Vandaag vertrek ik dan ook naar Japan op zoek naar recepten, foto’s en vooral verhalen. Tot 31 januari zal ik me laten onderdompelen in de Japanse (eet)cultuur. Tot mijn grote verbazing werd mijn lijstje met to-do’s een heuse waslijst. Een kort overzicht van mijn (flexibel) reisschema:
12 januari – 17 januari: Tokyo met wat daguitstappen naar onder andere Yokohama
17 januari – 22 januari: Kyoto met daguitstappen naar Kobe, Osaka en Nara
22 januari – 25 januari: Hiroshima met tussenstop in Himeiji en daguitstap naar Miyajima
25 januari – 29 januari: Kanazawa
30 januari – 31 januari: Tokyo
De bedoeling is om via couchsurfing zoveel mogelijk bij “locals” te blijven slapen. Dit is alvast het geval in Kanazawa en Kyoto. Op het programma staat ook al één home party waarbij Hot Cuisine de Pierre kookt. Verder hoop ik via die “locals” zo de echte Japanse (eet)cultuur te leren kennen. Na een kleine drie weken arriveer ik op 31 januari terug in België. In tussentijd mag u zich op regelmatige basis aan een update verwachten. 不可能なことはありません!
One of the goals for 2013 is to make Hot Cuisine de Pierre a blend of recipes, pictures and stories. Today I’m going to Japan. The main goal is to find those interesting stories and to taste the Japanese cuisine. They told me that the Japanese people are crazy about food. So for the next three weeks I want to feel, try and see this Japanese passion for food. Here’s a short overview of my schedule:
12th of January – 17th of January: Tokyo with a trip to Yokohama
17th of January – 22th of January: Kyoto with trips to Kobe, Osaka and Nara

One of the highlights there will be a home party where Hot Cuisine de Pierre will cook. On the 31st of January I’m back in Belgium.
